Coolest garage I've ever seen. Should turn the extra unused bit into the most dangerous 1/4 strip in the world.

I keep going back to 28 Days Later and reading through it, the whole Urbex thing seems to be kicking off big time which sort of worries me a bit as I think abandoned places deserve a lot of respect to keep them untouched. I'm not saying people should be kept out but it cheeses me off that people get in and then go and tag the place, or light fires, or smash all the glass in there.

If you go to Stoke there's a place called turbo systems that has an abondoned blue Saph cosworth you can explore round.

The 'secret bunker' in crewe is worth a look but despite being kept pretty original a lot of it is set out for tourists which takes the shine off it.

The thought of owning some sort of underground complex fascinates me, I like to think if I won the lottery I'd buy something like that, even it was really old and decrepid.

hi peeps! i used to have one of the garages in them arches.. where the mk4 escort estate is in the first pic.. i was a few doors along from there, we used to get people from all over the world asking to take pics of our garage and pics of the overhead railway, the units are hand made supposedly by the black slaves during the slave trade but dont quote me on that one! nearest i could find out about that was they were storage for the cotton... and also during the war they were used for ammunition storage.. if you look at the old pic with the bridge in there is a dock there wich was filled in during the 1970's with a load of leather that was contaminated with anthrax (the cow desease not the heavy rock group!) out of a tanning mill in liverpool... and guess what they've built posh flats ontop of it!! dont think id like to live in one! also was a haunt of the local prozzies for a blimp too!!! thus ends todays history lesson!!

Yeah thas the place in the pic i think, tho none of the writing below it seems that relevant to it.

1st proper pic ive seen thats deffo the place too, ive seen other pics claiming to be it, but wasnt, but i recognise all that, thats further in tho, the perimeter fencing is deffo bigger than that, lol.

It's true I've been round it, it's been abandoned for years.

When I was underneath some scraggy old homeless looking man starting shouting obscenities at me.

Yeah, I thought it was Stig of the Dump when I saw him.

I thought he was going to try and sell me a big issue, but instead it was a T4 for about twice the usual asking price.

Avid-Fan-- Nice one

Theres a place I really wanna go, near Chepstow, for a bit of an explore (may well involve walking 5miles or more, but hey), thing is I dont know anyone whos into this kinda wierd shit so wont ever happen

Was good when I did one of my old jobs when I was driving a van all over the place, I hardly ever did any work, just used to notice somewhere interesting and then park up n go exploring
Even got to go in Longbridge before they shut it down, into all the rundown disused bits, wouldve stayed there all day if i could!

Steves already been asking about Corsham on 28DaysLater, there's loads of threads about it on there and other Urbex forums.

TBH going on a forum like that and asking about what's in your local area or places like Corsham is a bit like coming on here and asking what you could do to an RST or what's needed for a 500bhp YB. They are questions that are asked over and over again by new people.

theres an old disused station near camden and primrose hill, trains still run thru there jus the station and platform totally overgrown, an above ground railway as is most in london.

my parents have a house in the peak district and there is a cave real high up 2 miles away thats pretty impressive to look at from the ground let alone going up there, like something out of the descent!!!

(got pics of both but cant post em up)

i love exploring abandoned and disused places like this lot, best one was a mental hospital in light oaks in stoke me and a few mates got into once. fucking HUGE it was, we spent hours inside it, sometimes proper shitting ourselves! found so much stuff in there like padded rooms, solitary confinement rooms, dorms, tiled rooms that looked like operating rooms. all of them full of stuff which just looked like its been left in a fire alarm and never returned to. so interesting but so fucking scary aswell, really really spooky weird place! they knocked it down about 2 years ago though, shame as it was a really really cool place!

Great thread Steve, love all this kinda stuff.

Have you anything on the old East London Rail Line? Its currently being reworked for the underground East London Link.

Apparently it closed down back in the 60's and the whole line has been unused since.

I've been down on the tracks where were earth moving and theres tunnels and old stations right the way along.

this may be just a rumour but apparently in the old cathedrels and stuff, there is big secret underground passeges, which the monks would use incase they had to escape from the cathedrels, spooky
