hi my bruv in law bought a rouse (so far has paid a deposit and is picking up on Fri with rest of cash), anyway last night whilst we were looking at the car, Paul (bruv in law) checked the paper work.

it has the rouse sport plaque on B piller (no44/100) plus letter from Andy rouse, but is coming up on insurance as a seirra glx or summit, and when asked if he checked the V5 he said it said seirra base not cosworth can someone confirm that mayve rouses do have this on the V5? I am telling him to do a HPi as he planned to do one today, but have not heard back yet, if it were me i would walk away but he has asked me to check

is the plate a transfer plate as some insurance companies computersare utter shite mate do a hpi on the car and go over the car like a fine toothcombe ie id plates and chassis maybe contact the previous owner on the logbook and id PULL BACK THE REAR CARPET AS IT MIGHT BE CUT'N'SHUT u will see a weld running just in front of the rear bench if it is AND THERE ARE A FEW ABOUT if in doubt leave it but if all comes back ok then its up 2 u??, btw how much is it??

Don't trust the insurance web sites, most come up with a silly low quote until you realise the car you are insuring is a 2l DOHC, GLX or otherwise

when i wanted to insure my cossie on tesco it came up as a glx!!but it shows as a cosworth on those checks.

nah, figured they had a bad rep so avoided them spoken to duncan at Automotive unlimted, and pauls gonna get him to find a nice straight standard mint cossie for him, and walk away from the rouse

Gra for starters did the chassis number on the plaque (last 7 dights) match the numbers on vin plate and floor ????


I would not be worried about a check on a insurance site do a full HPI like said above.

PS. They did do a Rousesport 250-R that was based on a Sierra GLS but had a diffrent bodykit slightly diffrent cloth seats and was a 2.0lt DOHC turbo nothing to do with a cosworth
