following on from last post about the mk6 escort td user thats gone fooked ive took fuse box out and its melted, managed to get running but have no side lights,dipped beam or full beam,so need new fuse box but theres loads of different codes for em on ebay but i cant find any code on mine There is a code on the fuse box cover but obviously may not be original cover, does the box have to have exactlly the same no as the one its replacing??

if its pre 1995 on model you have to match up last three letters of code ie BBA, BBD or if its 1995 on model you match up the last 2 letter ie AA, BA etc

i have a TSB somewhere that shows interchangibility of them.

this is the thing it hasnt the code on the fuse box,it does have a code on the box cover but may not be the original one, its a p 96 plate td lx and cover says 96AB 14A 075 DAW
