Default AIR CON

ford mondeo, '99 Treg, air conditioning condensor has got a leak.....is it an easy diy job to replace the unit or is it a job for professionals only?

Well if the gas has completely leaked out then it should be a simple job as long as you have the right tools to unclup the pipes if they are the snap together type.

You will then however have to get the air con regassed.

common problem with them, you can replace it as a diy job easy enough but you will need to vac out and regass at a specialist for about 50 quid.

A said above, it'll need regassing whatever you do, so for an extra few quid you may as well get them to fit it
