Sold my car (i think wat do u reakon though)
sold my car today (leon cupra r for £10k) to a dealer who saw it on piston heads he has bought it without seeing it lol (he's a car dealer) he has sent £250 deposit to secure through bank transfer should be here by monday then he will be coming on the following monday to pay rest and collect as he is now on holiday in turkey , do you think he has paid the deposit, and will collect i have told him everything bout the car (it has been scratched took it to local seat dealers they said at trade would cost £200max to repair and they value my car off forecourt at £10.500) or do you think he could still turn up and not want it lol.
my mate reakons as hes a dealer he prob has a buyer lined up for around £11,500 (as thats what its worth on forecourt) and he will be happy and just take it
th reason im asking is i want to go look at some saph cossies andif find the right one leave a deposit on but i dont wanna get stung lol (ive already missed out on th th saph i wanted (ultimate sleepers in the for sale forum)

nothing is guaranteed. I would explain the situation to the people wanting to view, then if they come down view and buy it, then just return the deposit to the dealer and apologise.
who is to say that the dealer wont try and knock you down on the price, or cancel the deal/cancel the deposit etc. what if he finds another car at a lower price for his customer. He would be the first person to cut your throat.

You have to honour the deal with the dealer who's paid the deposit.
How would you feel if you'd paid a deposit on a car and then it was sold to someone else. You'd probably be posting on here calling the seller all the names under the sun.
