Default ebay/paypal - how to claim cash back?

i won a clio front bumper for the wifes car on the 4th may. i payed the next day via paypal as it stated payment had to be recieved in 48 hours.

now, a week and one day later i finally get hold of the tossers that had it for sale, only to be told that a guy had walked in off the street the week before and bouhgt it! yeah bollocks!

so a few emails later and he 'offers' me the chance to buy a brand new one for £60!

now the auction was for a brand new one, that i won for £31 and a ripo off postage of £25

total £56

i got an email on monday saying that his paypal had been hacked so could he send me a cheque, my reply was yes and can he let me know when i would recive it.

ive still heard nothing and getting pissed off now so i want to know how do i go about claiming it back from paypal before leaving him neg feed back.

here is the ad

If paying by Pay Pal always make sure you fund it via a credit card. Then when you have problems your credit card company will recharge Pay Pal for you. Pay Pal hate people funding payments via credit cards for this reason.

Make sure you are opening a dispute via pay pal not via ebay.

i have just filed a complaint right now acutally so fingers crossed.

my claim lol:

ps, note i am still yet to call them a bunch of c*nts

I won the ebay auction on the 04/05/06 and paid via paypal trhe next day (05/05/06)

one week later i had still not recieved anything so emailed the seller to find out why, only to be told that someone esle had bought the item AFTER i had paid for it, and was then offered another item for an addional ammount of money!! (have emails to prove)

i requested that refund be paid to myslef, and that was agreed by the seller but he claimed his paypal account had been hacked (!?!) and that he would send me a cheque.

another week has passed and i am still to recieve the item purchased, a refund via paypal, or the cheque as discussed.

I need the money back (£56) ASAP as i now have to waste more time sourcing another bumper

This behaviour is totally unacceptable!
