Disc offset question
Im looking for discs to put on the front of my escort mk3.
Right before i have used 2wd cosworth discs and had to space the calipers i have used by about 3mm away from the bolt holes to make them sit in the middle of the disc.
So 3mm spacer between the hub and caliper.
So as the discs for the cosworth are 283 mm in dia they are a little big for the calipers and always seamed a little close to the edge so i thought i would look for some that were a bit smaller this time so mondeo 24v are 278 mm which will be much better.
So the thing is this am i right in making the following assumption;
The std escort disc has a bell height of 58mm
The std cosworth disc has a bell height of 55mm
The std mondeo disc has a bell height of 47 mm
So following on from the fact that i had to use a 3mm spacer to fit the cosworth disc am i right in thinking that i can use an 11 mm spacer to make the caliper sit correctly on the 24v mondeo disc.
Sorry i know its long but i been up since 3am lol
Thanks in advance
