Hey were all off to Cardiff to watch the SUPER BARNSLEY defeat Swansea in the Play Off Final on May 27th - booked in the Cardiff Hilton for two nights - so come on wheres the best pubs to go in Cardiff, were not too bothered over night clubs just late bars will dooo lol....

what did u reckon too it overall then, we stayed in an hilton in westminster in 2000 for the wembley playoffs and it was ok but the hotel was showing its age, i hear cardiffs more modern. is there wireless internet access ?

like Rhys said mate, just hit st marys street, cant go wrong pubs I find you cant go wrong in are, Edwards, The Yard, The Square, Philharmonic gets fookin packed on weekend, not the biggest place in world although it is 3 floors. Cant go wrong in any of them mate, music may be good, probably cheesy but they will all def be a good atmosphere and full of birds

may the best team win, wembley 2000 was ace with the ipswich fans, no trouble at all, just red and blue everywhere, i know i'll be pissed off if we lose but it's only a game innit.

ps in the queue at 7am tomoz for tickets, daft or wot lol..

plenty of places to drink mate, as rhys said just head for st mary street. isnt there something like more than 200 venues now in cardiff for a good sesh ? !

just take plenty of money with you mate if you are having a good sesh !

I wouldn't know what the internet access was like hun, we could only reserve 10 rooms for 150 of us...ie for the committee who organised the event, as Liverpool FC stayed there (although we saw nothing of them... ). Nice place though, Imo it doesn't look dated

think you will like the hilton and the city. i am very proud to be associated with the area and it has come on so much since the rugby world cup was held here in 1999. most hotels have some kind of wireless these days and i would guess they do, but you could always phone and check. enjoy your visit to caerdydd and i hope you have many happy hours of drinking as i have every weekend when i get plastered !

Were driving mate, be there about 2pm Friday i think, then have a little wander around i think, maybee go over to the stadium etc, has any one been in there yet, i got my ticket today but its not where i wanted to be, i'm in the North stand Block M36, looks to the right of the goals towards corner flag area, £52 bleeding quid too, i must be mad. Then most probs out on the piss about 7pm till i drop, so that will mean i'm in bed at 9 lol....
