Default Displaying data from OMEX ECUs?

Just been reading through a few posts and was wondering if anyone had tried the idea of presenting data from the ECU onto a TFT monitor in the dash?

I'll be running a 2.0 Zetec Turbo on OMEX 500 management and wouldn't mind knowing what it's doing...

What sort of software would be up to that task and is there anyone around who could configure and calibrate it?

Cheers

Will

theres a digi dash topic somewhere which will help you

if you wanted to buy a tft screen, you would need to build a de-code driver board,, not simple

you could buy a propper digi dash like the gems units in wrc cars,,, sadly these isnt cheap

Why not make a heads up display so the info is projected onto your windscreen

fRS it is a piece of piss, but you need a bootable windows PC in the dash.

The diffiult part is not using a computer

of course you would need a pc or something to interface it if you're using a standard lcd screen. but that's not difficult or particularly expensive these days and can also be used for other purposes (GPS/SatNav, music, video, games or whatever)

otherwise you could use one of the existing CAN Bus based systems from the likes of Pi or whoever, and you could have a RS232 to CAN converter programmed up to output it to the dash
