burnout, its a proper CCTV system, it captures the event in full motion video (you can even chose the frame rate it records at) The ability to watch it online as a web cam is just an additional function.

pee vee, The limitation is down to the camera, the one I am using is ok as its supported by the street lighting too. But A proper CCTV camera tends to be surrounded in infra-red LEDS which work as a torch that can only be seen by cameras.

Tommy Boy, no prob m8 just drop us a line some time and we'll sort something out. All you need is a windows XP pc with a decent amount of hard disk space that you can leave on 24 / 7. And some kind of camera connected that points at your car. Oh and broadband helps.

thegrimreaper,it helps but its not needed. There is a built in function that allows you to use the camwizard website as a pass through to get to your cam site. I havent got that bit working as im lucky enough to have an ip address that is fairly static.

I've got a Linksys WVC54G wireless webcam at home.

It is a streaming webcam at 15 frames a second, so you can watch it live, rather than only getting 1 picture, plus it emails you a 5 second video clip of any movement it detecet.

Plus it doesn't need the PC left on

pee vee, no you will need capture card for that particular camera. But a USB web cam would work too.

Toe Knee, I have the same problem, but im able to select the zone the software monitors for what triggers it off.

Consider getting one that will work without a PC, I've just been to Florida for 2 weeks, and wouldn't have left my PC on that long, but was happy to leave the webcam on

I think it might be asking a bit too much of it but you could give it a go. You can get the software on a free 30 day trial but you need to get your hands on a web cam or CCTV camera and TV capture card.
