Black sapphire cosworth STOLEN!!!!!
#42
Hi Tom,
Fingerz text me about this this morning. Anyone in the romford and surrounding areas needs to be extra villgilant and (im sure you already do) but make sure your cossies are well and truely locked up as possible (CCTV is also a very good consideration!). These guys are going to great measures to take these cars!

Shocking that these cars are still in such great demand-I dont think we will ever be able to safely park them anywhere as the older they get the more the parts are worth and they are stolen to be broken I guess?
Sorry to hear your news mate

No it wont stop them, but it gives you a much better idea of what happened and hopefully identifies who done it.
for a job like that they will probably spend a few nites before hand watching the house for activity trends etc... you may even pick that up on CCTV and gives you a chance to do something about it before it happens!

As people are onto the cctv thing, is it not possible to get hold of local cctv tapes eg main road or something im sure you persue the police to do this etc etc as this would make it easier to identify
Just my 2p worth

Gutting isn't it, just had Ł5K worth of parts stolen, see my post "Ł500 reward for tracing stolen parts", know how you feel, want to grab the bastards and hack off their genitalia with a rusty knife!!!!
CCTV may help, just installed it in fact, but unless you get a decent mug shot plod aint gonna be interested, even a registration number of a low-loader is likely to be false.
As a community we should all be vigilent to the dodgy dealers on Ebay, Loot etc. Must admit that parts I have picked up in the past for a song have played on my mind, could they have been stolen, sad to say even reputable dealers will pick up stolen parts without being aware of their origin.
Difficult to suggest a solution. Etching windows is a start or marking all panels and accessible parts with a ultra violet marker with your postcode. Perhaps the best solution is to ensure your pride and joy is fitted with a tracker, not only should this recover your vehicle but also has a fair chance of catching the scumbags red handed. If more vehicles were fitted with a tracker the price would come down to a more affordable level.
Hope it turns up in one piece.

Really sorry to hear about this mate
Remember thinking what a nice looking Saff it was too when i read your for sale advert.
Not nice that within a small amount of time after advertising it on here that it goes missing! Coincidence? I think not Did you have it advertised anywhere else
I am always searching Ebay etc....and will keep an eye out for it or parts of it.
I got one back after 6 months years ago so there is hope for you yet!
