Havent seen any for the last couple of weeks, but there defo has been, and im sure mods have been on the threads aswell, so ya cant say none of you have seen them lol.

 

Same goes for you Ben, the webteam cant read every post, and sometimes webteam members who do see it arent a mod of that section, it would be impossible for the section mods to read every post themselves, we do over 2000 a day, every day. So everyones help is always appreciated.

I thought getting round it was stuff like the use of html code in between the letters so the swear filter didnt see it and hence displayed the word in all its glory without dashes or anything?

I think it's more about enforcement of rules. I refuse to beleive that any mods have seen recent sigs with banned words in clear view. Note that they don't offend me in the slightest, but i can see where the "one rule for one" argument comes from.

 

why can't people just grow up and refrain from using words which create this situation? Then everyone can stop whining about getting banned and the Mods can make much better use of their time.

I think you will find there is quite a large number of users who use that word but modify it so it does not get round the swear filter (ie. using *).

Im not offended by the word as even i use it and say often

That isnt technically circumventing the swear filter is it? as you yourself have just pointed out. The rules are there to stop all the letters being shown as we all agreed it insults women, so as adult men we agreed not to type it. Simple.

Read the rules properly before accusing us of having two sets of rules. I just see that particular style of using the word as very childish and very immature flaunting of teh rules by people trying to look big and hard (On teh internet..lol) yet they are plainly without the balls to come out and say it in full for fear of getting a 24hr ban (From 1 single website on teh internet) Extremely Sad really i am sure most will agree.

Circumventing the swear filter would be to have the whole word cunt actually appear in some form, or totally uncensored. C*nt is not teh same is it? Its still technically censored by the author with no proof of what it meant. The same way as some folks may but "Some Bas***d keyed my car tonight" Its censored.

I beleive that Stu. I think one of the reasons is Radders is a long way from home, and PF is a valuable life line to him. Lots of us know him, and what a baloon he is - but basically a v nice guy. So when he gets banned, and others don't - it gets people up. Welcome to politics.

I agree to an extent, internet bollox has become a way of life for me once i opened this website with Pet, and it takes its toll at times i assure you. Its like a fooking kindergarten full of overgrown kids who want to argue tiny irrelevant points instead of enjoying the facilities we provide. Its starting to bore me now.. im losing interest in teh whole site...

I consider Radders a personal friend, and the webteam all know it, but rules are rules, end of.
