Exactly! Cars weren't meant to be put in warehouses and polished. They were meant to be driven. And its a complete waste IMHO to acquire that many cars and never drive them. I'm no fan of Jay Kay, but at least he drives the things.

I always say let the manufacturers worry about keeping some minters/ historically important cars (Cars that won championshps or have an interesting story attached) for their museums. The general public should buy to drive.
How do you know he doesnt drive them? He could be out on every given opportunity ragging the fuck out of them for all you know.

I don't of course. But he doesnt strike me in the same mould as Nick Mason or Jay Leno.

But I guess if you have a personal fortune of estimated $3Billion* its hard to find things to waste cash on

I remember reading about George Lucas - he was into cars in a big way when he was a teenager and his Dad didn't want him hurting himself so never gave him the money for a big V8 bruiser. Instead he tweeked an old Fiat convertible (or something similar) and managed to prang it into a lamp-post nearly killing himself!

One of his earlier movies 'American Graffiti' is about a bunch of High School kids into drag racing and cars

I never knew he had such a collection of cars, but then again it's not surprising as he built his own 'village' (Lucas Ranch) where his staff can live and work! The thing is, Lucas Ranch is in Marin County, California and it's also where Lucas lives, so this must be at his holiday home if it's in Oregon!

Very impressive!

I notice George Lucas doesn't have a Porsche 959!
