Default Junction 28 Car Sales

Has anyone had any experiences of these guys, they have a few tasty looking cossies in the showroom(and about a million focus rs's) but won't let you drive them until you've actually bought them which seems a bit weird....

I wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first. You would have to be a complete muppet to even entertain something as daft as that.

Think about it ,,,how many tossers they will get wanting to test drivre but have no intensions of buying its hard but a serious buyer will pay , drive and if not happy when test drove i am 100% that they will get there money / deposit back .

Its a tough thing to sort out tho this one

there was a thread about j28 just the other week

there were posts along the lines of "i sold my car o nthe monday with 150k on the clock and by wednesday it only had 70k showing"

alledgedly

they want top money for their motors and some of them aren't worth half of what the sticker price asks from what i've heard, but i haven't been there myself so it's all hearsay, but it's not somewhere i would put at the top of my priority list if i wanted to buy a cossie

Yeah, I hear what your saying, but when your a 34 year old bloke turning up in a cherished 3 door cos, your probably a genuine buyer, not there just to rape the arse of a car, that seemed to make no difference to them whatsoever. Anyway the hunt for an Escos goes on...

Sorry but the guy shows no real proper interest if u are trading in or not and if ur car is minted ......walks about as if he is tom cruise and is just ignorant

i had a absolutly stunnin mondie st24 and was used for car shows ,everything was perfect and mint on car and he showed no interest in lookin at it or anything ,obviously to much hassle to shift his sweaty gay arse from his seat ,he just logged onto autotrader looked at a st24 REPLICA and said my car was worth the same as that ,twas a fookin 1.8lx with a front bumper fitted and a pile of wank ,now i was lookin at a so called mint 4x4 saph cos that was priced at £7.5 k ,bit overpriced but obvioulsy not compared to 10-11 k saphs he tries to sell these days

anyway myself and a mate had a good look all over the cars and granted there was a couple of mint examples but certainly not the overpriced cossies, it was a few focus rs,s that was mint and a evo6 at the time

smarmy dry wank is my thought of him and wouldnt buy a packet of hula hoops from him

I totally agree Paul
I'm not saying the Junkyard 28 name is unfounded but they do get some prime mint examples in along with loads of shitters.
If they offered test drives to every potential "buyer" they would be inundated with penniless wannabe tossers looking for an afternoons fun.

i certainly would not part with any money untill i had test driven a car ...

Well, thats just it, they don't, I'm a serious buyer with the wedge in my back pocket plus a 3 door cos and no test drive on offer, so basically screw them.... Not a penny of my wedge is going there

It was a red 3 door escos with a 305 ggr upgrade and an impressive brake conversion on it. Must admit it did look pretty mint, was asking 14995 for it

Why don't they say a £100 quid fee is to be paid prior to any test drive for each car you try, if you end up buying any car off them then they will knock that amount off the purchase price??. If you walk away you loose it. It would only be like an RAC inpection you only get them done if your serious about buying ???

Anyway my mate bought a real low miler escort turbo (44K) from them a few years ago, six grand i think, was told it was completly orginal even down to paintwork. When he came to sell it about 6 months later J28 offered him 2K less which he didn't accept but a private buyer noticed it had had a new wing and been painted down both sides !!! I agree he should have noticed it but some of the cars don't appear to be that genuine so be carefull !!

Glad to hear you guys had positive experiences with them, and yeah I know what you mean about the RS2 and that escos outside looked like it had just been stolen recovered, the shroud wasn't even attached, v suspect. Didn't see your S1, Gaz, then again you could quite easily have been and gone given the amount of time I was there. Glad you liked the 3 door mate!
