Fooking coppers!
So, out last night, on the way to the pub with my bro... Strolling down the hi street on the way to the pub (note - not drunk ANYTHING by this point) and we come to a side road to cross. Look into the side road - nothing. Look to the main road to make sure nothing is gonna turn into the side road. Traffic on main road, no one indicating tho. One last look around and on the main road is a police car - not indicating so you have to pressume he's gonna carry on down the main road.
So I step out into the side road.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
Fucking cop car pulls straight into the side road, hits the breaks and the copper leans on the horn! I look over to his car and the prick STILL don't have his indicator on! So I mouthed "fucking prick" at him before carrying on crossing the road.
Next thing I know I hear 4 doors close, look round and 4 fucking coppers get out the Focus estate cop car!!!
The passenger says "oi" and strolls over. Says to me "you wanna watch where you are going sunshine, nearly got yourself run over didn't ya? How much you had to drink then eh?"
To which I replied "not had a drop yet - it's only 8pm and I'm going to that pub there" (which is directly ahead of us) Then carried on to say "and you boys out to know better than to turn into a side road without your indicators on shouldn't ya?"
Driver immediately pipes up "I did have my indicator on - you weren't looking"
So my bro has strolled over by this point and says "We did look, several times and you didn't have you indicator on"
Copper says he did. So I look back at the car and can see the wheels are still turned, not straight.
So I said "funny that, if your indicator was on, and you haven't straightened your wheels yet, it should still be on shouldn't it?"
To which the copper had nothing to say, so just said "just keep an eye out in future right?" before they got back in the car and hooned it off down the road....
Fucking coppers. Do my head in!!! Think they are a law unto themselves FFS
So I step out into the side road.

Maybe it ain't a smart move, but it ain't such a smart move to hoon it into a side road with no indicator and no blue lights/siren going either

were there any other cars coming towards the copper or behind him? if not then he doesnt have to use his indicator. i suppose it only really matters if something was hard up behind him actually.
I recently did a compulsory defensive driving course for my work and i was told off for how much i use my indicator. People are now taught to use the indicator as little as possible and only when really necessary. This is done to stop people presuming they know where a car is to go and put the emphasis back on observation!
i'd say it was your fault for presuming nothing was turning down the road

i'm sure when the cop car's go to get fitted out they just snap off the fookin indicator stalk.......
as said a fookin law to them selves..
also i thought it was in the highway code that pedestrian's have right of way in such a situation????

funny you should say about this thrush in the local paper last week on the front page was a big story about a cop car running down a lady in the high street.
the old bill have had a few accidents on that road (the main road that runs from ilford to romford, the locals should know it) cos its such a long stretch of road they just hoon it up and down with their lights on and these aint traffic cops either there just local plod off nicking drunks in romford
