Scolari offered the England Job--UPDATE, HE DONT WANT IT
#41
Why are the FA going against all what they have said since Sven said he was going?
They said when Sven was appointed that the person chosen to help him [McLaren] had that position with a view to being coached to take over from Sven.
They said... next manager would be English.
They also said, they wouldn't pay anyone the same salary [5m per annum] that they paid Sven.
I have read this morning that they offered Scolari 3m but he has refused that and is demanding 5m.
I bet the old farts at the FA give in to this demand, no wonder the fans have no faith in the FA.

i think that the job has to go to an englishman, you cant play for england unless you are english so why should the manager be any different.
but saying that i would have give the job to martin o'neill

not the man for the job though IMO, yes he has a proven track record on the pitch, but I dont think he could cope with the off the pitch bollox that comes with the england job, sven is very clever, cool, calm and collected and look what happended to him, the media ripped him apart.
IMO you need someone who knows how england works on and off the pitch and knows how to play the media and keep them on side so to speak, I dont think big phil could do that.
Stuart Pearce for me, I know he doesnt have the experience at top level, but he's got the passion and drive, fook, I'd hate to be a footballer and not perform 100% with him as gaffer he wouldnt pussy foot around, especially with players who think there place in the sqaud is safe regardless. He's also worked with some of the best managers in the game, some of it is bound to of rubbed off, give him a go I say
