Only needed for 500+. The elbow is a restriction before the spacing of the plenum.

i fitted one and my boost went from 1.6 to 1.9 bar so i can say it mad a differnce on my car

The elbow is the restriction but some tuners will still say otherwise though

dont see how it makes a difference as the inlet will only flow so much regardles of what is in the plenum

If you are going for big Power it works. It was tested in Australia & made an extra 10bhp on a 400bhp engine. It allows a RS500 Plenum to approach 700bhp on race Fuel. However the DIY King knows best so ignore these facts & dont fit it.
