Default Credit Checks

Anyone know much about credit checks. Looking into renting a house and the estate agents carry out a credit check and i've been told i should leave out certain details so it would help my chances as i have no credit history.

Can anyone shed any light on this or offer me some advice as to what to do

Some agencies will not check you if you pay a higher deposit. Ask to do that and just be truthful and explain the situation.

my brother works for experian and does this sort of thing for a living

he's out on the piss at the moment but i'll ask him if there is anything you should deffinitly leave out, but you do need to keep these credit checks down to a minumum, the story behind that is you go and apply for a crdit card, they check you out, you are fine, they give you £10k
then you apply for another one, and another one, and another one etc etc
you get £100k on credit and then say you've spunked it all and go bankrupt
lots of red faces
so if tyou apply for something that needs a credit check they see how many times you've aplied in the preivous time scale to see what sort of risk you may pose

hi m8

i work for finance company and we have to use experian/equifax everyday, dont hide anything at all!!!

if you have no credit dont wory to mucch about it, what most places look for is that your on the voters roll thats a big

as that means you've been there for quite sum time

oh yea mate do you have a mobile contract cos if you do that is classed as "credit"
