i lost the paper part of my license.When i went to produce the officer said i had to provide the paper part or else i would get done for not producing my full license.I could not find it so i produced and she read my rights.so i asked what will happen to me? She said you will get a letter from the courts.a few days later i rang the number on the back of the fine to try and pay the £60 and the person on the phone said The courts are dealing with it you will hear off them.That was last november, im still waiting.

 

Usually takes about 6 months to get a summons out to you.

I had the same thing. Went to magistrate's court, explained why I was unable to produce my documents in time and the case was dismissed

just send off for a new paper part paul while you're waiting. Then you can go into the court room with both parts and do them for wasting you time....ok so maybe the last bit is a bit ott, but go down you post office as they'll be able to help.

 

phone up DVLA and tell them youve lost it all.. for £19 you get a replacement paper and photo card id in 3 days or less.. whatever you do dont tell them you only lost one bit theyll make you send the bit you still got back with a d1 form
