Anyone know about VTR engines???
The missus is getting annoyed at the tappets on her Shitron VTR sounding like a percussion band under her bonnet. I gave it an oil change about 3k ago and it seemed to quieten down but has now got loud again.
Do we
1. Change the oil again
2. Change the oil and tappets
3. Give it to citroen to sort
I am unsure as to whether the tappets will be in the same position as on say, a CVH, so they are easily changeable or is it a case of having to take the cam out??
Many thanks guys

Mines like that,
But it has sat on the rev limiter for the last 85K miles
TBH i've never even lifted the bonnet so can't tell you where the tappets/followers are or if they are solid adjustable or hydrolics.
Whip the cam cover off and have a look, it will only take 15 mins.
Matt.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
The tappets are a piece of piss to adjust do it as 0.2 inlet and 0.3 exhaust, when engine is warm.
However the 8v TU is a notoriously tappety sounding engine, believe it or not most of it is from the injectors though
Strong as hell though
P.S. DO NOT use Haynes clearances, as above 0.2 inlet 0.3 exhaust when hot.
