Default Clutch ploblems ~ Alcon 6 paddle

Morning guys.

I took the car out for a long drive last night and started to get a problem with the clutch.

As i pulled away the clutch would engage with the peddle right on the floor but would then not bite enough to move the car until the peddle was right at the top

Its an Alcon 6 paddle.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Cheers.

Yes ive fucked two so far. XFactor replaced the first one But the replacement went in exactly the same way .

Pretty pissed of as they are fucking expensive and i was told they were the daddy at the time. Would never buy another and im considering trying to get some money out of Alcon as its cost me loads of time and money taking the gearbox off to change them.

Hmmmmm,

I've got a really loud clonking as i engage the clutch as well, which i kinda thought might be a cv joint on its way.

It could well be the same problem as what you have.

What clutch are you using now mate?

im using an uprated organic now as they are much cheaper and will hopefully last longer . I dunno how i managed to kill two alcons as my car is relitivly low power being NA . Might be cause i use it daily in traffic to go to work?
