FTAO The "PF" Drummers....
As some of you might know, I am a keen drummer (for nearly 12yrs now) and as such I post a lot on an online drumming forum. Anyway, I have had many requests from there to make a video of myself playing, so I have finally succumb and did one earlier today 
It's totally improvised, as I had no idea what I was gonna play, so I just made it up as I went along
I haven't played line infront of an audience for many years now, so it's kinda like sticknig my neck out a tad and posting it on here, but since there are a few drummers on here, I thought what the hell, might aswell

If it's all in the wrist I shouldn't be able to do it - after 12yrs of bashing the shite out of drums, I have carpel tunnel syndrome in both wrists, brought on by tendonitis 
Just one of the hazards of hard hitting I guess....Anyway, I dunno - I just used to practice practice practice when I was a youngster, playing along to Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, etc, trying to get as fast as those guys
Danielle - professional? Do you do it for a living? What band you in?

Neil Peart is one of the true drumming greats - but, the man has no feel 
He is a machine. Don't get me wrong - what he does in Rush is outstanding, but you put him in any other situation and he struggles. I watched the "Buddy Rich Tribute" video's where Peart played and he played it note for note - but it sounded all wrong cos he has no feel...
Music is an emotion, you have to express it with feeling....
Alex Lifeson is also an amazing guitarist, but I would wonder who would come out on top between him and Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
