I never saw anybody crying, from what Chip told me it isn't that bad.
Much better then writing off some car he would really like.

You've been in that BMW? I've been out in it couple of times and it handled just fine, suprisingly well. Doesn't take milion pound car to have fun driving it.

What happened to Chip was purely accidental, there were reports that he had spread oil all over the track and this simply isn't true. The BMW did not loose any vital fluid other than rad water. The sump, power steering and box were all still intact!
In summary Chip is just as much of a victim as the bikers following him.

Cant believe the number of rumours flying around on various sites, especially all the nonsense written on the ben lovejoy site (ive emailed him with the real story)
As mongo says the car wasnt disposable, but it was an affordable car that we were prepared to risk losing, ANYONE using their car hard on the track is being naive if they dont face the fact that an accident may happen.
Ask anyone at all who went out for a lap with either me or mongo and they will tell you that:
We were driving hard but not being wreckless
We DID care about the car and wanted to bring it again
It handled VERY well (dont take my word for it ask rainbird or azreal etc)
I had spent a lot of time and effort on that car replacing everything ascociated with the brakes and suspension to make it a good reliable track car that we were hoping to use over a period of time, im not going to cry over its loss, its a car not a family member but i am none the less gutted about what happened as anyone would be who crashed a car they enjoyed driving.
Cant believe some of the comments on here to be honest, and very dissapointed at all the rumours flying round.
If a biker came off on oil it was NOT from our car as the car still has all the oil in it, the impact with the barrier broke the radiatior, and the car lost its coolant into the mud at the side of the track as it was sat there with the engine running for a few minutes while me and mike got out, checked we were ok and gave the car a quick look over to see if it was driveable.
As mentioned above if there was oil on that corner its far more likely i was also a victim of it than it was my fault it was there!

Funny, cause im not laughing, im actually in quite a bit of pain from it, and im pretty upset over the car, especially for mongo as through no fault of his own he now doesnt have the car anymore either, and he enjoyed driving it too.
Only you could pick a thread about someone having a fairly serious car accident and choose to use it to abuse that person phil
I can HONESTLY say if the same thing happened to you, my first reaction, would be to hope that you were ok and no one was injured etc, as thats what ANY decent person would feel.

Chip, glad you and the others are ok and home safe. It was a pleasure to meet you all.
Pity about the car, never mind if its only the Rad and some front end damage, I'm sure you will be able to fix it.
I hope you did not have to pay too much to get the car off the track.
see you all again next time.
Kenny.

Luckily doesnt owe us too much money though, certainly well under 3K, so pretty affordable to lose, still a bit gutting though just cause it was such good fun.

Phil why don't you go spend another 10-20-30 grand you can't afford just to get some attention You have a serious problem with insecurity and are no doubt feeling left out as you didn't have a crash
Stop being a tosser for once matey!
Chip shame about the car but if your going to total one make sure your having fun in the process
