Default White XR2 on the track at Ford Fair

Did anyone see the white XR2 on the track yesterday? To be honest it didn't look in the best condition, bit of rust or something on the drivers door, but it was absolutely flying. It was eating everything in sight, including some pretty impressive Cosworth's. The guy certainly knew how to drive, and he wasn't frightened to overtake...everything he saw!!

Very impressive.

I think the blue M3 was one of Silverstone's own cars driven by a professional driver.

yeah the m3 was driven very well, and managed to hold off that escort cossy a few times, very funny watching that puma ditch it twice in exactly the same place, no damage done i hope, very bad noises coming from the white sticked up 3dr, came off limping and smoking like a trooper, and some very odd noises coming from the engine bay.

Saw jano, well it may not have been him driving his car, but was crawling round the track on one session not sure why, switched the ALS on as it went past the stands, very posey, but sounded awesome.

red xr2 was very good as always as seen him often on the track.

that white mk2 xr was well quick, same with the colour coded red rst converted one. what made me laugh about that white mk2 was that he drove it home to
the blue m3 was doing some serious drifting too!!! top notch flat out drifting. on that same session a white mk1 escy ditched it into a wall or something and did the fron drivers side corner in unfortunately!!

Yeah that red XR2 was mighty quick too.

I thought Jano's car sounded a bit odd, and didn't seem that quick either, must've been a problem somewhere.

I think it might have been a guy called Dave, who's something to do with Performance Ford.

I had four sessions on track every now and then i was chilling past the grass banks and making sum noise .....

It is only for fun! We have nothing to prove on these days.

I saw Dave's car last year, it was pretty quick and in good nick too, didn't think he would have let it go that much.

Wonder who it was then?

Seems XR2's are pretty good on the track!

My mate used to have one, pretty much standard and I used to love throwing it round the country roads, like a go-kart on speed.

Top little cars, so much fun!!
