Lovely, the proper Shelby mustang, light and balanced.

But do you know why they called it the 350?

I've always had a soft spot for mustangs and that's one of the best. Bet that cost him a small fortune if its all numbers matching and original

As for the GT350 it doesnt really mean anything it's just the model of the car.

A small tip if he ever wants/needs to sell her, ship it back to america as cars like that are going for stupid money over there. Alot of the muscle cars in england are being shipped back by their owners as they're making so much money on them.

It does.

It was the distance from the engine shop to the production line in feet.

GT500 never meant anything, it was just called it to sound cool.

Perhaps so but I also read in Tattler that the moon landings were a conspiracy.

And unless you just so happen to be sharing a computer room with Carol Shelby I doubt we'll know for sure either.

I just thought it was an interesting anecdote and wondered if others had read it too.

Personally I wouldnt be at all suprised if he called it the GT 350 because it was 100 better than the GT 250. You're correct though of course, the machine shop thing is a nice touch

I gather tank tops and tight jeans are still the rage in France then mate ?

Nice car though.

I take it the 500 is the bigger brother to it ?

GT350 was the 65' 66' Mustangs and the GT500 was the newer 67'-69' Mustang.
