Default Sub 3 second 0-60 at Ford Fair yesterday.

There was a white Escort Cosworth, left hand drive, with WRC kit and WRC on the numberplate. I believe this car was in the Jeremy Clarkson 10 Cosworth Thrash a few years ago.

I saw the guy do five runs, all under 4 seconds and a best of 2.80!

I don't know how accurate the timing gear was though, as the run where he looked quickest was a 3.18, I suppose we're working with tiny margins here, but I'm not sure I trust their timing gear.

Prob almost as reliable as Trax's timing gear, a wistle and a stopwatch is almost as accurate

Dont forget the 0-60 timing gear they use is WILDLY optimistic tho, Rapid1 off here did a 2.99 0-60 with this timing gear at TRAX a couple years back.

TRAX is perfect for it, you see pretty standard astra GTEs pulling 4sec 0-60s with this timing gear

Still a fast car tho, very, with the spec i bet the real time is still lowish 3s

Was just about to say that! lol

After the Focus was written off, Steve put the engine in the Escort.

Cant wait to see the Fiesta project finished, he reckons it'll be on track for National Day......... that thing is gonna be awsome! Did anyone else get chance to look round it yesterday?

Trax and Ford Fair are both run by the same firm...

Not knocking the car, but you're probably better off using a stop watch than that timing kit!!!

Thought he reshelled his red escort WRC one he crashed into the LHD white shell, full on rally car, 300 odd bhp, IHI restricted turbo ALS etc, Not a T4 with nitrous in that one?
