Default BLOWN UP ENGINE

i blew the engine in my monte tonight at about 150 mph, b*stard oil ond water everywere, just got it out and taxed it for the summer aswell
think it will have to come out and go to joe stevens for a rebuild
just had it mapped at paul hills in november aswel before it went away for the winter
money pits lol

Oooh, controversial

God knows why some cossie owners think engines are consumable items. I never had a rebuild in all my years of owning a cossie.......

had a good laugh though, if u hadnt been trying to beat that scooby ya wud of been alright...... gud job we were over boosting though or might have ended up doin the same lol

oh no baz will be gutted hope it not fucked too much but the 7.2-1 cosworth racing pistons sound like they dead and its got the big pump aswell all my hard work in the bin sorry to hear this m8

sonds like a few people have had problems after being at paul hills, i was told he was one of the best
the mk3 escort will be out at the end of the month anyway

but i would have the chip looked at .. and check the voltage going to the fuel pump

I wouldn't just build the engine again you would be better off finding out what caused the engine to blow up...

it sounds to me that it has detted due to bad fueling

hope you get it sorted

nightmare when that happens,im in the same position as yourself with my cossie engine after only 4200 miles since the last rebuild ,although mine isnt as drastic as yours,just lots of blue smoke!
