Default Boost/Actuator question

Trying to set the boost on stage 1 saph. set the preload on it, half moon, that should be about a bar. However, its boosting over 20 and thats only going up to about 4.5rpm before backing off cos its way too much god knows what it would be if i floored it
even if i turn it down more it still boosts the same.

Now, would that be indicative of a fucked actuator? or am i being a pleb?

are the vacuum hoses the right way around on the amal valve unwind the actuator arm if that don't work then I would join the vacuum pipe from the compressor housing to actuator and go from ther to see if the amal valve is at fault

Perhaps the jets on amal valve have already been modified? Its not a mechanical bleedvalve on there either is it?

HI,

Or you could disconnect the amal valve, and you should have just
actuator pressure, if so you need to check the amal valve and jets
in it.

Im 99.9% sure the hoses are right. If it runs properly with the vacuum pipe from compressor housing attached to actuator does that mean the amal valve is faulty then?

thanks

and no, its not got a bleed valve on it.

It doesnt mean its faulty, might just mean its got wrong sized jets.

but thats the place to start, as then you can see what the actuator is set to if you run it straight off the housing
