Default Comp Ratio

I have just had my cossie head skimmed because of a blown headgasket.

Does anyone know how much a standard skim rasies the compression ?

Thanks

Steve.

it won't make any practical difference to CR, the volume change is very small. A 0.5mm skim will remove very approximately 1cc from the chamber volume.

ok, more specifically, that 0.5mm skim equates to approximately 1cc less chamber volume, which will geometrically increase the compression approximately 1.4% from standard.

Thanks

Thought it might effect it more than that.

Mine has a comp of 7.8.1, so its still going to be very near that.
