Took oil feed off turbo,so that eliminates before turbo, took oil return off sump, filled header tank and the water runs out of turbo oil return

just because the coolant/oil is coming out of the turbo return means the turbo is fooked?? surely if the sump is already full of water it will suck it up and pump it through the turbo?? ????
