I got a copy of the media pack here on my desk.

Our motoring reporter got to thrash it round Bedford just after release for his review.

Got about 30 - 40 laps in.

Sure the focus has a quicker 0-60(according to your sig) and the 1/4 in 14.1@101mph according to evo mag so what time is your car doing? I think this focus and the RS focus would leave your sierra on track.

Don't think they will do 100mph in 14secs.

Thats what it was tested at, I can dig out the evo mag, they had it up against the golf gti turbo and it was quite a bit quicker than that to 100mph.

Will do so in about half hour or so, im on the phone at the moment sorting out buying a focus rs lol.. I drove the ST and RS back to back yesterday and the RS feels quicker but the st is faster in my opinion. Not by a lot though. I obviously can comment on johnny b`s sierra`s speed though.

A modified 24v maybe, but these Focus ST's are running 6-7 psi from the factory, these engines arent even being used to half their potential. Now just but a basic chip in it raising it to 15 (1 bar) is seeing results around 260 bhp, or im told raise the boost to 18psi and 300 bhp possible Still think a 24v will be faster in a years time?

Lets look at it this way. Focus st is much heaver then my car, but the same power I tell you my car feels quicker. I drove the RS and its much more fun than a ST.

but once you have more boost in the ST it will be a right weapon

Yeah but feeling quicker and being quicker arent the same thing. When I drove the RS it felt quicker cause there was more of a kick from the turbo.

270 is the max they will make because apparently the block uses a thinner casting than the volvo units so it won't make as much boost before it turns into iron filings
there;'s a bloke who works for their testing bods who's supposedly been there and done that during testing who posted about it when the st first came out a few mnths back

and although it's undoubtly a decent car, it's going to be very much the mass produced motor likt the golfs and audi and civics quick versions
the rs was built to do the job, the st is built to sell the numbers
