TPS on a 3dr cossy

If the TPS was faulty what problems would it cause ????????? As my car is running like a bag of sh*t.
when on tick over sounds as if everything is ok when appling the revs starts to sound like its missing .
what is the job of the TPS ?

Faulty/incorretly fitted TPS could cause that.

mine did the same when i fitted my 4x4 tps/l8 and forgot to swap the two outside wires round

got a multimeter? stick it on the middle pin and mov the throttle it should go smoothly from 1v (ish) to 5v(ish) if it doesnt go smooth (or gives wierd radings) its fucked
