Diesel Fiesta question need an answer asap please
Just changed the fuel filter in my shonky old workhorse L reg Fiesta diesel and now it won't start There is a bleed nipple on the bit where the filter goes and if i turn the engine over with that loosened nothing is coming out of it. Is there something you are meant to do or a correct procedure that i haven't followed when changing these things as its in my way now

Is there a somesort of handpump somewhere on the engine - similar to a blood pressure jobbie??? If so pump that a few times until it spurts out the bleed nipple then start it!!!

Managed to suss it in the end
Gareth i did as you said by pouring diesel through the bolt hole that goes through the centre of the filter and filled it until it was seeping out of the bleed nipple! Started 1st time after that
