Sounds about right for an early one. Expect somewhere between 2-5K. Though obviously low mile miters will be more.

Search on Autotrader under 'Mercedes' and then 'AMG' mate, you'll see the genuine road going examples ARE NOT 2-5k!

There's been one on there for a while at 15k IIRC

Theyre usually no where near that much. the EVO models go for around 15k normal cosworth 190 E's go for about 6 grand for a good one.

Think you're looking at the wrong car mate...........a decent one today is about £8k............can't see a Cosworth 190 Merc (not an AMG) being worth £15k............

Perhaps i'm thinking of the wrong model then, didn't think the 2.0/2.3/2.5 models had anything to do with Cosworths?

I think there was a cosworth 2.3 and then later a 2.5 190e. Not sure exactly as I don't know that much about them. I know the evo model is absolutely nuts though.

Designed by Cosworth the 2.3 and 2.5 Cosworth models were (engine wise) but you may be thinking of say a C32 AMG..........

Standard 190e Cosworth. Looks shit in that colour though but they did a gunmetal sort of colour and that looked sweet. Wheels are shite too.

I like them. Was tempted to buy one but wanted a real minter and didnt really have the cash. A quick wheel change on them and they look something special. Especially in dark colours like you say. I bet bbs splits looked mental. I can picture that easily !

Have to say it was 20 years ago now (I was 13 and he picked me up from school in it..........everyone anted to talk to me then !!) and even now I struggle to think of a better looking 4 dr car. Only thing that comes close in my book is the Lotus Carlton.

Do like the Carltons. But tbh. Theres lots of faster 4 door saloons nowadays.

Current M5 is 200 ish deristricted.

RS6 and E55 also sping to mind. Lots of ways of going fast with a lot of luggage And I would guess they are a hell of a lot more reliable than the Lotus and probably cheaper to run.

Very true - but the Lotus was one of the first........... and therefore way cooler than any of those. Not that I'd turn any of them down you understand but the Lotus is just

See nowadays is the key word. The carlton came out what 1990ish? did a claimed 180mph i think it was. And all that from a production saloon however many years ago. Granted the m5 etc are brilliant cars but look what there was back at the time of the carlton. These days it takes something like the veyron for you to say wow, there will never be another car quite like that one. The Carlton will always do it for me. M5 is just a fast beemer. Lotus carlton makes you sit back and go.. fuck yeah.

My opinion anyway

Aye thats true. ISTR questione were asked in the House of Commons about the car. It had a serious impact on the Nanny State.

Has a lot of presence on the road, you can spot them a mile off as they are so wide. Something the current 4 door F1 cars lack. But I guess thats down to insurance costs.
