worked out to about 3k all in to ship it over and get it though the test's they do and duty on it

Superb spot, I was staying in Harbord(right next to Freshwater Beach), for 2 months, and my girlfriend(at the time ) had a holiday home at Whale Beach. I must say that Manly/Northern Beaches are the greatest places EVER!! I would love to stay there so congrats matey!!!

Mike is correct with the tests but duty is payable on anything

I took mine to Oz. Mine was subject to more stringent tests as it had been owned less than 12 months so didnt qualify as a personal import. If you have owned more than 12 months, you are not subject to the emissions tests which is the main one the cossies struggle with and where part of my problem lay.

Shipping for me was 1200quid inc insurance in a sole use container with the car stuffed full of bits. Tax was around 500quid from memory based on a value of 3K pounds.

if you owned the car longer than a year it would have only have to go though a basic mot test like it does now, but still would of had to have rear anchors fitted and door bars.
so time it has gone though that , paid to ship it out and pay the duty on it, it would have been 2.5 to 3k.
i just dont have the money spare to pay that out for a TOY at the mo.
if i want one again at a later date its not to bad, but is slightly harder to get it over, but hey closed loop is surpose to be good which it would defo need.
anyway as said i like the xr6ti's , and will get one as soon as i can
