How fuck do i get things downloading more?

I got 49 things in my download list, and a 45 of them are blue, which means there is a source to download from.

So why fuck dont they download

One of two will, but slowly.
Sometimes its rapid, 50kb/min etc, but right now, bollocks all.

Whats the clients on queue thing about?

And with servers, whats PING about? Should it be high or low? Does it matter much?
I just usually connect to whatever server seems to have the most users, as ive not got a fucking clue what its all about

 

Ste, make sure that in the prefrences that u have have no of downloads set to more than 4!

Blue means there are sources, but not that they are currently free sources. Expect 5kb/s average in emule.

 

emule sucks nowdays, used to be really fast nowdays its dogslow

bit torrent has no where near the library of files. good for current stuff. Emule is the best if u after rare things.

No matter what, emule has a MASSIVLEY bigger collection of files than any of the other p2p programmes, and trust me, i have them all.

Torrent seems best as a program, but a program is fuck all use if its not got what you looking for.

 

Either A you go Edonkey route and wait forever on a file that doesn't exist anymore or has 1 user, or B use Torrent(whatever you have) and get a speedy d/load if it does. If you must go Edonkey then IMO Limewire has almost everything Edonkey/shareaza has at a faster rate

 

Limewire has fuck all compared to it IMO.

And i dont even bother with 1 user files.

Im just asking about emule stuff, which you havent helped with at all.

 

Emule is p2p, i.e. limewire, etc, so you want the best

i asked about ping, servers, and anything else that may speed emule up.

i did not ask about alternatives.

i also said i have all the alternatives, so dont want to talk about them.

i also said that the other programmes dont have as much of a selection so no good to me in all circumstances, hence the use of emule too, so dont want to talk about them.

Emule shits on any netrwork for availabilty. U just need some patience.

Steve - its totally irrelevant what server u are on. Each server chats to another, and all they do is tell emule where the files are. Once u have found a file, (ie its in ur download que) u dont even have to be connected to a server. When doin a search, make sure global is selected. If a file is blue, u WILL get it, just might have to wait a few days.

Currently got 4 things downloading, one with over 50kb/sec, so going ok now

 

some u do get 50k, but most u dont. ive tried every p2p over the years, and always go back to emule. it aint fast, but i dont care. i'll que up a few tunes, my sisters hot friend, couple of dvd's, 3 days later i'll check and they there waiting for me. im into my music, and i can always fins "rare stuff" on emule. It's a good look...

Bit of advise though - and take this seriously... |There is a program called peer guardian - its free, u NEED to install it.

I nearly had my ISP close my account for dlin illegal shit (ie being a cool bastard). Reason is, a lot of software companies, the RIAA (pirate people) setup servers and sources, hoping u connect to them, so they can then fuck u. Peer guardian has a list of IP's that are known to be dirty (over a million) and stops u connecting to them. it updates automatically in the background. if u use p2p - u need it
