my comp is p******g me off
every time i try and receive something throu msn it comes up with a little grey box that says windows has blocked it because its harmfull and i cannot open it it then just blocks it

MSN, if you mean messenger, then just download the mess.be patch from http://www.mess.be.
If you mean Outlook, google it and find the doc that shows how to change a registry setting to disable that stupid filter.

Mine was doing that on Messenger because I'd not set my anti virus to scan incoming files.
On messenger go to Tools > Options > File Transfer and make sure it's set up
