ok from the top.....
dont gamble
first few days will be a bit of a drag while you do the booze run mission...while you are between runs....keep at the pickpocketing and then robbing stores
after a day or 2 (less if you are at the pc a lot) you will have moved up rank enough to do OC's (organised crimes) with other members of the crew which will get your rank up faster
thats it in a nutshell
