Opinions, Advice and thoughts....
now that i have your attention im after some views and adviceon my project. Its early in the game i know but would like to know whats best and suggested in advance then i know which route to be taking and can make a start on my shopping list.
For those who dont know (will prob be most as im relatively new ) im building a 2.1 ZVH lump for my s2. Im looking for it to make a minimum of 300bhp @ the flywheel. I know in theory my idea should work but mainy of you on here will have the knowledge and experience to point me in the right direction (stu, chip, etc etc). Below is a list of parts im 'planning' on using but if you think there is a better alternative then please let me know as would be gratefully appreciated. I allready have a few bits (head, turbo, cam, pulley, intercooler) but its the block assembly and engine management i need advice on.
Block
2.0 Zetec Block
Reground, balanced and polished crank
Accrilite 86mm Pistons (burton power jobbies)
Farndon Steel H Section Rods
ARP Rod end bolts
Not sure on bearings what can u suggest???
Felpro Head Gasket
ARP Head Bolts
Head
Cylinder Developments Stage 2 Head
Kent CVH 35 Cam
Vernier Pulley
Newmans Solid Lifters
Double Valve Springs
Turbo
T3/T4 Maram Shafted Stage 3 Hybrid Turbo
-34 Actuator
Radtec Front Mount
Approx 20 PSI
Unsure on management, have had gotech suggested, and there is always the old cossie management but what are the other option? (stu @ MD)
Got the obvious like exhaust etc. Will also be using mocal oil cooler, swirl pot, breather system, high pressure oil pump.
Is 300BHP achieveable with the parts i have listed?
Cheers for takin the time to have a read and for the comments

NOPE!
Needs a much better head than that in my opinion.
why go for a 2.0 Zetec bottom end????
Also... cossie management is the way forward again in my opinion.
You cant do somet like a 300bhp RST on a budget of a few grand.. they're expensive bits of kit.
Pound for pound a Cossie is much much cheaper.
Have you thought about a gearbox? It WILL need a STG2+ box from CTS.
Brakes?
Suspension?
All these will need uprating without a shadow of a doubt for proper items.
Also your shell will need to be minter than mint or you'll pull it apart in seconds.
I pulled the cross member off my (Tims) old car with about 280 ish
A true 300bhp at the fly wheel is a big ordeal for these cars.. and expensive.
Hope this helps...

Talk to Karl norris about the head, he knows lots about 300bhp ZV heads, and frankly most of the rest of us dont, i have no experience of CVH motors at all really, its just not something thats ever interested me, and TBH if i had an rs turbo and wanted 300bhp, i would go zetec turbo instead.
300bhp is a hell of a lot on an 8v head really.
I would be surprised if it comes in at under 5K to be honest when you are finished

If I were you the ONLY people I would consider talking to for a CVH head for a 300bhp car is Karl NMS and APT simply because both have produced the goods in a "proven" fashion.
I am SURE there are others out there who could do it but I would want to spend my money with these 2.
