Seen Slashs snake pit open a couple of shows for AC/DC in the US and they were wank so I gave Velvet Underground a miss and after seeing the shit they came out with at Live8 I was not impressed tbh.

 

I saw Slashs snakepit at Monsters of rock and have to agree they were wank.

But velvet revolver are fooking awsome live

Some bands dont come across good live on tv

 

I was at Live8 and they went dpwn like a shit sandwich

 

I have the VR album and its brilliant...........dont think I will be too keen on the new Guns stuff

1995 Monsters Of Rock? I was at that one Metallica's "Escape From The Studio" headline slot

Was at 94's aswell when Aerosmith headlined Pantera and Sepultura rocked that day! But Aerosmith put on a simply superb show to close the day!

 

I went to loads of monsters of rock festivals.

Shame its the crappy download festival at donington now

Been hopeing monsters of rock would make a return for age's and now it has but in my eyes its a poor rip off of the old festival especialy as its now at the crappy milton keynes bowl.

 

True I miss the old MoR festivals! I mean, you could go see 6-8 bands (or like in 1994 when they had two stages) 12-14 bands play, for less than Ł30! No you have the "Download" festival, and sure, it's over a weekend, but it's a fucking fortune!!! Ł135!!!!!! I mean, come on!!! Most peeps probably only wanna see half the bands there!

Varied from year to year, but when I went it was Ł26 (for both 1994 and 1995)

 

Be fooked if i can remeber the price's it was too long ago

 

I just looked at the ticket (yes, I still have it lol... Still have pretty much ALL the tickets from ALL the gigs I been to I collect em tho )

 

I used to collect mine too ansd lost most when i moved house

 

Still got nearly all mine... half of em are signed on the front/back (mostly by the artist I went to see, but sometimes just by other random artists - went to see Sepultura, couldn't get their autographs, but I did end up getting talking to Dave from Dog Eat Dog and Krusher who used to present Noisy Mothers on ITV - so got them to sign it instead, lol )

 

I saw Sepultura and got thrown full force of the stage by a big roadie

The best one was Lawn mower deth gig where Raw power filmed it and i was on stage most of the gig rocking out.
some weird bloke put his arm around me andsaid lets dive so i ran and dived into crowd,he followed and the crowd parted,he landed on his head and got took off in an ambulance

I have heard some Lawnmower Deth, but I will admit to only listening to em cos I was intruiged that the had the same "DETH" spelling as Megadeth

Wildheart - I was at a Cannibal Corpse gig (Astoria I think) where some big guy tried to stage dive and the crowed just moved out the way. Busted his head up pretty good, either dislocated or completely smashed his shoulder in and left in an ambulance! Fooker was out cold for a good 10mins I'd say!

 

My Ex works with the wife of one of Lawnmower deth and last year they was looking for one of the member to reform.
I even got offered job as roadie if some gigs happen

 

That was actually embarassing. I was cringing. It was just a bad choice of band for the occasion. VR are a more specialist band, and live8 should have stuck to pop and well known commercial stuff. I personally love VR, but Scott Weiland didn't do em any favours that night! Any GNR fan of old should like Contraband, with Fall To Pieces being the one that will strike you most on first listen!
