Default New service trying to help recover stolen audio

Just thought I would post about this as it seems like a really good idea to me.

Basically you can register all of your car audio gear, and if any of it gets stolen it increases your chance of getting it back again, its endorsed by most of the major car stero related companies and also of course by the police.

Completely free service too

www.iceregister.co.uk

Also when you buy secondhand audio you can check on the site if its been registered as nicked or not, which is good in two ways i reckon, firstly if you ever get caught with stolen audio you have inadvertently bought and you have checked there first at least it shows that you wouldnt intentionally buy it knowing it was stolen, and secondly of course it means if it is nicked and registered as such then you know about it and not to buy it!

Obviously it aint going to stop car crime in its tracks or anything, but if it means just a few more theiving scrotes get caught its worth the effort of signing up i reckon

Thats what i thought Cam

Its paid for by adverts (ice insurance and car hifi gear etc), as obviously its a good targetted audience for advertisers so unlike most web based services actually stands a chance of keeping its head above water and lasting, especially with backing from most of the major car audio players and more signing up all the time.
