BIG THANKS TO GARETH T !!!!
ive actualy taken some time today and used it to get the cam belt fitted and time the engine,,,,,,,,, ive gone for a "custom" cam combo and used a "custom" cam timing
just got a few questions about the dizzy timing,,,,,, you set it to the middle on the half moon on the right making the point about 2 o'clock OR is it 11 o'clock and the half moon on the left when looking at it
apart from that im unsure of the cam belt tension BUT it locked up well and its timed well
SO ANOTHER BIG THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TEACH ME HOW TO TIME A ENGINE

also notice that it tells you that the crank line goes to 11o'clok and not 12 that i first thought,,,,,,,,,,, good job i bought my DTI gauge as i would have set it like that otherwise

cant rush things mate........... i had to be sure i new what i was doing so i done 1 cam a month with a gap month to check
belive it or not this is how the cam timing day started
turn up at parents house at the start of the afternoon, have a brew with me dad,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 2 hours later start the cam timing,,,,,,, get that done in 30 mins,,,,,, think ive done somink wrong so i go back inside and have another few brews and sunday dinner , then go back out and try to time the engine again but another way,,,,,,,,, realise that im doing wrong so pop over to the pub for a brief beer with me old man,,,,,, come back and retime cams AGAIN,,,,,,,, think " fook it i gotta go home now" and fook off home to post my results
this is why my car takes soo fooking long,,,,,,,,,,,, its worse for me actual cossie as thats parked almost outside 2 pubs
