NEW BATTLEFIELD2 UPDATE IS OUT!!!
But everytime I try and download it from EA the page crashes 
Must be millions of people downloading it I guess. It's only 357mb too

There is no new gun for Support? L96A1 for Sniper, and FN P90 for Anti-Tank? Support gun has been "adjusted", apparently, but they haven't given any details...
Had a play earlier, it does seems a lot better......no people bouncing around like nutters, which makes them easier to target with the shiny new sniper-rifle (which is quite nice
).
Aircraft don't seem to just plunge into the thick of things any more, since they have a LOT less hitpoints......had one run away from my APC, was great!

So that's the "adjustment" they made, then! I never really play as Support, to be honest, tend to stick with Spec Ops......just thought I'd try the new sniper rifle, as I started playing as a Sniper originally (and got called all names under the sun for headshotting them many many times ).

I had one of the best games of my life last night. I got 57 points, but 22 kills all with the assult rifle. I don't care for points, I just want kills.

My best-round-score, on Sharqi Peninsula, is still 214 points......with only 30 kills. Spent the entire map capturing flags, and defending my own team's flags, with my team seemingly racing around scenery-watching.

I swear people cheat in the games I am on. I once emptied a whole mag into some guy's back, getting head and back shots and he turned round and shot me once and I was killed.

This is exactly why I tend to play on clan-servers, rather than just random public servers......clans tend to hate cheaters quite a lot, so keep an eye out for them (since it's partly their reputation on the line), whereas randoms don't seem to care as much.
Plus, clan-servers tend to attract a more dedicated kind of player, rather than the people who run round thinking "I want a gun, the biggest you've got, I just want to see the pretty explosions"

I'm usually a calm person, but sometimes playing BF2 doesn't half give me the arsehole! Some people are just utter muppets. I reckon I spend about 20% of my time hiding behind a rock typing abuse to people who are flids. Bunny hopers, cheaters and base rapers are the skidmarks on the underpants of society!
Especially medics on your side who throw down bags of first aid and then shoot you so you have to pick it up! I am seriously considering getting my own server to get away from the idiots...

Already got one of "my" own, thanks! My work hosts one......it's unranked for now, but will be converted to ranked in the next ranking-server "update" by EA next month!

Worked ok for me too, but I'm not using Norton.
When I tested the game, I only played for about 20 minutes to kill some time, and I did get my arse handed to me on a plate, but that isn't unusual
