Default do you need to bed-in a rebuilt box?

been a month without my s2, after the gearbox went... been driving in a 520i f-reg tank, and i cannot wait to pick it up today from Jamsport!

if a box has been rebuilt, with new bearings, synchros and seals, does it have to bed-in, like an engine?

I'd take it easy on it to be honest, give it a little time before you rag on it.

Probably a good idea to change the oil in it quite often while it's wearing in. Make sure any swarf isnt floating around in your gearbox.

When I had mine rebuilt, I was told to take it steady for 200-250 miles.
