Default Cast Iron Heads..

is it necessary to have these skimmed when doing a gasket?

car is a kent crossflow engine, i know you should get a alloy one skimmed cos it's more likely to warp but what about a cast iron one?

Not always. Depend how hot it got. Always worth getting it checked though....

Its not always necessary on ANY head!!!



If its flat it doesnt need a skim!
