Default HELP!! Escort RS Turbo, 19000 miles, 89G, What's it worth??

Hi

I need to value a Black Escort RS Turbo right hand drive with only 19000 miles from new. Its a 89 G plate in absolutely immaculate condition. I have no idea what this is worth and would love some good advice. Look forward to hearing from anyone.

if its only done 19000 miles it should be worth a mint mate as i always tell peeps never buy any rs unless you take some one who nows loads about them and what to look for ? ther was a guy on here who bought a show car ..or he thought he did , and took it for a mot.. it was a rust bucket and failed on all sorts

It belongs to my mate and i need to sell it for him and know nothing about RS Turbo's.
Its lived in a garage and the guy is so fussy you would not believe. I need to advertise it but how do you price a car like this. A friend of a friend said how good this site was and thought it would be a good start.

I'll get some photos, then you can all get a better idea of the condition and will find out more about the spec and history. Hopefully will have this by tomorrow.

hi, i had an rs turbo, very standard and immaculate that i sold for my asking price of 5k no problem. i would think there was at least another grand in one with only 19k on the clock, if you could eat your dinner off of it!
hope that helps.

ok what its worth and what people will pay within a year is the question i belive

for a start parts are not available as much anymore meaning that the cars value from a honest point of view is gonna drop,,,,, couple that with the fact a 130bhp erst is shote slow these days not to mention shote on fuel,,,,,,,,,,,,, i gotta be honest as say everyone on here who said its worth 6 to 7k aint even bought a performance car for that price and that age

toyota starlet,,,, 2k, newer and faster,,,,,, says it all really

6k and where talking RX7 type cash,,,,,, not to mention cossie and scooby cash

who would buy a 130bhp car with 19k on the clock unless they wanted a car to sit in a garage,,,,,,,,,, not saying he wont get it but hes gonna waste more than that in time wasters to get it if he does

I remember a black ERST for sale a couple of years back with only about 8k on it in Autotrader. Had been used for some promotional work and was also mint and based in south England. It was being advertised for about 9k I think. Could be the same car though?

If I was in the market for another one then I would pay between £4-6k depending on how good it was

Please remember people who buy these types of cars are not necessarily looking for a performance car neither are they looking for an alternative, they are looking for an rs turbo with this kind of mileage.

Ask the MK1/2 boys why they buy 25-30 year old cars out-dated by everything and pay over 10k for some examples!!

I'd say put it on the RSOC BB too, there is always fine low milage examples advertised on there, reckon it'll do well

If it's as good as you say, somewhere within the region of 5 - 6k, but, it will only appeal to certain parts of the market. Someone who know's about them will warrant paying that for a 15 year old car.

Some Paxo owner won't

I reckon it could fetch £6K plus, but it may take time to find the right buyer.
