I can't imagine that they would be any use in terms of Sun protection.

I have Black Iridium, Gold Iridium and Blue Iridium (well, did have as I sold the 2 that I don't use as much!!). Out of those, I still prefer my current Blue Iridium lenses. The Gold were nice though.

I have worn a pair before that were Orange lenses, can't remember exactly what lens it was, but they were virtually useless, so I can't imagine the clear being any better.

badcompany

What does that tell me? That they look clear - thats it.

Christian and Beccy

Cheers I'm guessing they have some UV protection. I wore some with orange/gold lenses last summer while driving, and i really liked them.

The Gold Iridium lenses really brighten up what you see at the same time as offering good protection.

Mine are up for replacement this year as I have had them a while (X-Metal frames), not sure what I will get yet though.

the whole point of sunglasses is to have dark lenses so that your missus can't see your eyes slyly perving at other birds

Think mine are Black Iridium - i really like them, as they have an orange/tan tint and make everything look warm
I think the black iridium are unusual tho, as mine we limited edition

They are especially good at spotting sunburn on scousers at regional days - before you can see it coming out

I also had the fire iridium lenses, they were good but were a lot brighter, not as good for driving

If i were to get some more, i would get the polarised ones - as they did a demo with them at one place, they took the glare off the road surface etc Very cool

They are VR28® Black Iridium® by the looks of it. They are really nice on the eye.
If they are hard to get hold of, wonder what would be the most similar.

They are sports wear glasses at the end of the day and the different coloured lenses will help pick things out in different light. When I used to race my MTB I had a pair of Oakley Mumbo's with clear, yellow and red iridium lenses (interchangeable). Yellow lenses give better contrast for seeing in low light levels

Cool, if you do lend them to me

Polarised lenses are great when fishing to cut the glare off of the water so you spot fish lurking just under the surface

Ok ok ok, I'll go now.........
