I've just finished watching both parts of the final episode - all I can say is WOW!

Spolier... Didn't the leader look like the other bloke in the hatch with Desmond? Was he really dead on the rocks? near the boat.... What did that lock n key do? And was that Libby with Desmoind in the coffee shop? Or as prevously said was that her sister?

Johnny - I was referring to the bloke in the hatch with Desmond was the amercian major who told Saqid to torture that Iraqi prisioner for information... If you check it's the episode listed about 30mins through.

looks like theyre concentrating on a different aspect of the story in every series.
s1 was the scary island and shipwrecked etc.
s2 was the hatch and dahrma initiative etc.
looks like S3 will be all about the others / search for the island!

Nearly all of this is a spoiler:
Well - the creators of the show said that Series 2 would explain the plane crash, and it has (sort of)! That to me was the most interesting bit about it as well as the reason why Desmond was on such a mission to race around the world.
Obviously the next series will kick off with Sayid, Jin and Sun working out what happened to Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley (seeing as the Others don't know about them being on Desmond's boat) and then I reckon we'll see Jack and co. being taken off to the real base of the Others.
Did anyone else notice that if Desmond was setting off from L.A. to race around the world (seeing as he was training where Jack was training) and ended up on the island in the South Pacific he'd be going the wrong way round as it were? It's possible but unlikely for them to have a boat race with amateurs doing that? Or did anyone else notice that the boat race set off from somewhere else?
