My Mondeo runs 225/40/18 tyres at the moment...

What difference if any would be made if i run 225/35/18's??????

I ask as there is a very good deal on E-Bay for this size tyre....but they dont do the 40 profile ones

 

Will lower the gearing, which will have an effect on the speedo (it will over-read).

Wheel diameter of 225/40 x 18 is 637mm (circ 2000mm)

Wheel diamter of 225/35 x 18 is 614mm (circ 1931mm)

As you can see, quite a difference .

 

They will look better though Tiff

 

Only if you are on drugs, as it already looks like it is on stilts .

 

Drugs you on about Rainbird, it will look good

 

Your right Mike...it does look like a 4X4 but the missus wont let me drop it...........

 

As Mike says it will make the car look like you had highering springs

 

plus the ride will be a little bit harsher?

They are a bargain and are end-of line, so they will be the very last at that price.

 

Just had an e-mail back from the company....They do 225/40/18's

£100....still cheap

225/35 18in fitted to mine

Did buy some 225/40 18 but don`t think they will fit

All very tight at the moment and don`t want to do any other mods or fit coil overs.

Ok, im looking for some comps that's all so thought it maybe worth having um

 

Pete i have seen them fitted to sapp`s but i just got my car out the bodyshop and i don` t want to fook about with it.
