Had a few tangles with this particular paint and it never seems to match the original panel!
Can somebody with experience of painting a pearl please explain to me the correct technique to spraying a panel please

I have been told to start at the top left and work right, then left, then right making my way down the panel, walking the whole length of the panel with each stroke.

Like so:

I have also been told to always paint each stroke in the same direction, left to right working my way down the panel.

Please don't tell me that if i have to ask then don't bother trying, as i already have the paint and i'm determined to learn! Thanks a lot!
